James Andrew Keel
Comments 0 | Recommend 0ODESSA James Andrew Keel, 86, of Odessa, Texas, went to be with his Lord on October 13, 2008. James was born July 7, 1922, in Dallas, Texas, to Harvey and Annie Keel.
He served his country in WWII as a communications officer being stationed in England, France and Germany. James married Mae Ola Schultz on May 5, 1946, in Dallas, Texas. He was employed by J.C. Penney Company for thirty years, working up to Store Manager. His last management position was in Crystal City, Texas, where he retired in 1980.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, October 16, 2008, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Donita Lea officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include his wife, Mae Keel; sons, Harvey Keel and wife, Alice, of Midland, Travis Keel and wife, Diane, of Wichita Falls; daughters, Janna Keel of College Station, Texas, Cheryl Douglas and husband, Mark, of Alamogordo, New Mexico; grandchildren, Tammy Doan and husband, Billy, of Midland, Lesley Keel of Austin, Crystal Ojeda and husband, Luke, of Wichita Falls, George Greer and wife, Amy, of Brady, Texas, Jacob Keel and wife, Sonya, of Austin; great-grandchildren, Christian and Johanna Doan, Ethan and Isaac Ojeda, Nelson and Amiya Keel.
