Patsy Ruth ‘Patty’ Evans

Comments 0 | Recommend 0

ODESSA Patsy Ruth "Patty" Evans, age 53, passed from this life Wednesday, August 6, 2008, at her residence in Odessa.

She was born in Bakersfield, California, to William Fred Richison and Nettie Pauline (Biter) Richison, who preceded her in death. As a young lady, she was an equestrian who won several prizes at playdays. More recently she enjoyed working for several years as a waitress at Red Lobster.

She will be missed by her husband, Jack Evans of Odessa; and her sister: Anna Lee Rippy of Bakersfield, California.

Patty was a very caring and loving person. This was evidenced by her relationship with Jack (who had been with her since 1990) as well as her deep affection for the animals in her life. She greatly enjoyed her quiet time with Jack. She and Jack were the proud "parents" to two parrots, Casey and Big Bird and their Yorkies, Jazz and Pixie. She also fed a backyard turtle so well that if she didn't feed him - he would come right in the house. She had a soft heart for all creatures and hated for anything to be hurt.

Memorial services will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday, August 9, 2008, at Acres West Funeral Chapel officiated by Bro. Roy Jones.

Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

Special thanks to Home Hospice: especially Jackie Freeman and Della Copeland and to Lori Stevens and the ALS Center in Houston for their loving guidance, care, and support.
