Iba ‘Ivy’ M. Hood

ODESSA Iba "Ivy" M. Hood, 86, of Odessa, met her Savior on Friday, August 22, 2008.


"Ivy" was born October 29, 1921 in Paris, TX to John D. Haynes, Sr. and Abbie Gates Haynes.


 She married James B. Hood here in Odessa. She has been a resident of Odessa since 1951.


 She was a homemaker and a member of Northside Bap-tist Church.


Graveside services are scheduled for 10 p.m. Mon-day, August 25, 2008 at Sun-set Memorial Gardens with Rev. Clydell Chapman offici-ating.


Survivors include her daughters, Sarah Elaine Moore and husband William of Hurst, Linda Brown and husband Charlie of Odessa and Kim Everett of Ft. Worth; a brother Ray Haynes of Stephenville; sisters, Beth Knapp of New Jersey and Dean Mullins of Odessa; numerous grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a sister, Lee Fisher and a brother Jeff Haynes.


Arrangements are by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
