IRAAN Katie Whitefield, 82, of Iraan, died Monday, June 29, 2009, at Pecos County General Hospital in Iraan.

Services are scheduled at 11 a.m. today at First United Methodist Church in Iraan with the Rev. Eddie Whitefield officiating. Arr-angements are by Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.

She was born in Breckenridge. She was Methodist.

SURVIVORS Son, Wesley Whitefield of Iraan; daughters, Deborah Joy and Carol Calvert, both of Iraan, and Jeanine Badgett of Midland; sister, Merle Truesdell of San Angelo; half-sister, Elizabeth Coerver of Houston; half-brothers, Clifford Murphy of Conroe and Mike Murphy of Bremond; 10 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
