>> Yes: 29 percent (2 votes).
>> No: 71 percent (5 votes).
YOUR COMMENTS:
>> retroranger: "The hourly wage just isn't enough to make it attractive for part time work. I am surprised they do not have 30 vacancies. When they advertise $10+ per hour, they are not going to have people running in their door. Jump that up to $15 and see how fast they find drivers."
>> dannyglides: "Looks to me that this would be a great opporitunity to have some retired folks drive these buses for a little extra spending money."
>> tata4now: "Not only do bus drivers deserve higher wages, more hours and better benefits, this city needs to completely re-zone the schools to cut down on fuel cost. For example, Pease, Noel, and Cameron Elementary are almost walking distance from each other as it is, yet kids are scattered everywhere. Kids who live on Park Ave are sent to Pease but they live closer to Cameron. Kids who live west of Loop 338 are closer to Murray Fly Elementary but are bused downtown to Sam Houston Elementary. It wasn't zoned this way recently, it's been like this for years. Less drivers and fuel would be needed if kids were not shipped clear across town on a daily basis!"
