YOUR COMMENTS:

>> "Is ‘hate' really the point? It's easy to make fun of somebody's squirrel cheeks - a little harder to determine which of three candidates (and they're all liars) would make the best president. Didn't McCain have a little something to do with the Keating 5 scandal? Doesn't Obama more or less consider religion an opiate of the masses? But, how would any of them react to a real issue, like gas prices, like an attack on the U.S. similar to 911, like a natural catastrophe like Katrina? Those are the things we should be looking at - substance, not style, is the issue."
>> "I can think of several substantive issues that could be addressed like criminal justice as the US continues to lock away citizens at an alarming rate primarily due to draconian drug laws and sentencing guidelines, suppose we address the issue of rising food prices (80% in the last 36 months), or lets talk about how the majority of Americans feel less positive about the future than ever before.
"We could discuss the erosion of civil liberties due to government excesses since 9/11 and the invasion of Iraq and how the US military is stretched to breaking point with the reemergance of Russia as a ‘cold war' partner. There is a world of questions that need answers about the shrinkage of the average Americans paycheck and the spectre of food shortages.
"I wonder about the indefinite imprisonment of foreign nationals and where a candidate stands on that issue. Could we talk about the suspension of habeas corpus and torture.
"But, hey, that's just me and my curiosity. It's also just my opinion that this column was a complete waste of time and certainly the ink to print it.
"Sure and begorrah, the OA can come with a better excuse for a columnist, squirrely cheeks, indeed.
"I might or might not like her, but if I don't it won't be for any reason cited in this absurb nonsense of a column."
>> "I have an idea. How about, instead of just listing other "substantive" issues, you address his arguments. He's going to write whatever he wants, and if you're sour, deal with it. Or don't read it."
>> "We should have all just voted for Ron Paul and we would all be happy."
