In addition to Lorenzo and other fine jewelry makers, Cone Jewelers offers Pandora beads to personalize bracelets and earrings. “Pandora beads are very popular right now,” Blackwell said “The beads screw on and are very durable with a variety of prices that makes them affordable to everybody. A jeweler for 42 years, owner Bill Heiser began his career as a high school coach, served in the military, then returned to join his father-in-law in the jewelry business He learned his craft by taking courses from the Gemological Institute of America. Heiser owned jewelry stores in Kermit and Carlsbad, N.M., before opening an Odessa store in 2000. Cone Jewelers moved to its current location in 2008. Heiser’s son Byron continues the family tradition by running a shop in Carlsbad that opened in 1992. 

“Remember, all of our repairs, including watch repairs and ring sizing, are done on site,” Heiser said.
