Buffalo Trail Council Boy Scouts of America receives grant from RBC wealth management
MIDLAND Buffalo Trail Council announced that it has received a $2,500 grant to from RBC Foundation – USA, to fund the organization’s Scoutreach in Midland and Odessa.
Buffalo Trail Council focuses on preparing young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the scout oath and law.
“We’re thrilled to receive this funding in order to help us accomplish our mission of reaching out to underserved youth,” said Lyman Gifford, Scout Executive of Buffalo Trail Council. “Our organization recognizes partnerships with corporations like RBC Wealth Management that remain committed to our initiatives regardless of economic climate.”
In 2010, the Buffalo Trail Council provided $12,000 of assistance to individuals in scholarships, camperships, uniforms, books, materials and other aid to youth participating in council programs.
In 2011, the council expects to make a similar investment in economically disadvantaged youth.
