Estefana Guerrero Tavarez
ODESSA Estefana Guerrero Tavarez, 97, of Odessa, went to our Lord on Friday, February 17, 2012 at Deerings Nursing Home.
She was born December 26, 1914 in Tierras Nevas, Chihuahua, Mexico. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jose Guerrero and Petra Ramirez; her husband, Blas S. Tavarez; her daughters, Amalia T. Venegas and Yolanda T. Banuelos; her son, Blas G. Tavarez, Jr.; her sisters, Ester G. Arenivas, Tomasa G. Rodriguez, Francisca G. Jimenez; brother, Alberto Guerrero.
She is survived by her daughters, Elia T. Orta of Taylor, Vickie T. Urias and husband Lalo of Round Rock, Consuelo T. Rodriguez of Odessa, Bertha T. Carrasco and husband Ramon of Odessa, Olga T. Morales of Odessa, Aurora T. Tercero and husband Steve of Odessa, Dolores T. Alaniz and husband Ernest of Odessa; son, Oscar Tavarez and wife Rosa of Abilene; 35 grandchildren; 67 great-grandchildren; and 51 great-great grandchildren.
Viewing was held Sunday and Monday from 9 AM – 9 PM with the Rosary being recited both evenings at 7 PM. Funeral services will be today at 2 PM at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Serafin Avenido, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.
