NUGGETS: We must feed our faith like a camp fire
Greetings and Happy New Year. There are lots of things coming up for this next year of 2012.This year we will be leaving the old and moving into the new things God has for us. There will be things we have had glimpses of, yet not manifested in their fullness as yet. We will be more sensitive to His presence. Knowing that only through Him can we achieve the plan He has for us. Those who truly love the Lord will fight the good fight of faith, to rekindle the fire that once burned inside their hearts. We will hear much about fire this year and we will be encouraged to arise. There will be encouragement to look above your circumstances.
The Lord gave me a vision of a camp fire. It had burned down to embers smoldering under the ashes. Then He spoke, that a fire has to be constantly fed to stay ablaze. He showed me, placing big logs, little logs and twigs on the embers. In our spiritual walk those pieces of wood represent the word of God. Big logs represent the large spiritual meals we receive like Conferences, Workshops and Training Seminars. The little logs represent our fellowshipping in the word in our local churches and the twigs represent our daily bible studies. Looking back at the embers of the campfire under the ashes, the embers could hardly be seen. It was brought to my attention, that the ashes were a representation of the things in our lives that were not lasting, the time wasted or the things tried in the fire like that of hay, wood and stubble. There was a breeze of wind (Holy Spirit) causing the embers to flicker. Then God said “Camp Fire.” My understanding was opened up to the fact that camping out is a time when we are on vacation, doing what we want to do, when we want to do it and where we want to be. Revealing what and where many individuals have been for years. So they quit the twigs (personal Bible study). Once a month a little log (go to church) and forget all about the big log (conferences). All this, is showing the reason for why the fire and enthusiasm has gone out of the church body in a general sense. So the fire dies.
BUT GOD, hallelujah! God has a plan in 2012 for us to arise. There will be very negative things coming from the world. There will be bad reports from news media and out of Hollywood also out of the mouths of unbelievers. But I say unto you look above what you see in the natural, pay no attention to the negative things that you hear. As the world, the unbeliever, comes under the judgment of trying to remove God from everything, you will feel the breeze of the Holy One stroking the fire. Fire is a personal thing. You will see a flicker of fire stimulated by the Holy Spirit. Then by your choice, you will receive the big logs, little logs and the twigs hitting the embers as the fire is stoked and stirred setting the fire ablaze once more. Take every thought captive that exalts it’s self against the knowledge of God. Get ready, lift up your heads, think on what so ever things are good, pure, true and of an honest report. Think on these things.
