Comments 0 | Recommend 0Education Foundation board members, staff and a few district employees such as Superintendent Hector Mendez will be on their way to New York City Tuesday to attend a workshop at an innovative, community-centered school called the Harlem Children's Zone.

>> oldodessan: "There are many wonderful programs that get results, like the Zone or George Lucas' Edutopia initiative and many others, but ECISD will lose interest as soon as they find out two things: they are not top-down authoritarian programs where everyone else jumps to the tune of a few bigwigs, and they actually do cost money. Imagine that!
