THE STORY: At the fair's opening ceremony

Comments 0 | Recommend 0

THE STORY: At the fair's opening ceremony, Odessa Mayor Larry Melton said the fair is one of the "great events in our community," giving credit for its success over 33 years to the volunteers who work on it.
"Hard as it is to imagine, the fair gets bigger and, more importantly, better each and every year," Melton said.

YOUR COMMENTS:
>> trice00: ‘I'm just wondering what fair Larry Melton is going to. Because the fair here has gotten worse every year for about the last 5 to 10 years. The booths that were really neat to see have gone and the good entertainment apparently has better places to go. We stopped going last year and probably will not go to another one here, we will just save our money and go to Dallas to the State Fair.'
