Week of 3/12 - 3/19

ATHENS: Water lightly stained, 49-54 degrees; 0.27' high. Black bass are fair on spinnerbaits, finesse worms and Rat-L-Traps. Crappie are fair on jigs and minnows. Catfish are good on prepared baits and nightcrawlers.

BOB SANDLIN: Water clear; 48-53 degrees; 0.54' high. Black bass are fair on soft plastic frogs, shaky head jigs with finesse worms and spinnerbaits. Crappie are fair on live minnows and jigs. White bass are fair on slabs and jigging spoons. Catfish are fair on cut and prepared bait.

BRIDGEPORT: Water lightly stained; 49-55 degrees; 4.45' low. Black bass are fair on spinnerbaits, Texas rigs and Rat-L-Traps. Crappie are fair on jigs and minnows. White bass are fair to good on slabs and live shad. Hybrid striper are fair on live bait. Channel catfish are good on cut and prepared bait.

CADDO: Water stained; 48-54 degrees; 1.6' high. Black bass are fair on flukes, Texas rigs and watermelon seed Brush Hogs. White bass are fair on Rooster Tails and minnows. Yellow bass are fair on jigs and shrimp. Catfish are fair on nightcrawlers and prepared bait.

CEDAR CREEK: Water lightly stained; 49-53 degrees; 0.1' high. Black bass are fair on spinnerbaits, crankbaits, jigs and Texas rigs. White bass are good on slabs. Hybrid striper are fair on live bait, Sassy Shad and slabs. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. Catfish are fair on prepared bait and chartreuse nightcrawlers (use Worm-Glo).

COOPER: Water lightly stained; 49-54 degrees; 1.48' high. Black bass are fair on Texas rigs, crankbaits and shaky head rigs. Crappie are fair on jigs and minnows. White bass are fair to good on slabs. Hybrid striper are fair on slabs, live shad and Sassy Shad. Catfish are fair on nightcrawlers and prepared bait.

FAIRFIELD: Water fairly clear; 60-72 degrees. No report available.

FORK: Water fairly clear; 48-56 degrees. Black bass are fair to good on Texas rigs, red Rat-L-Traps and swim baits. Crappie are fair on jigs and minnows. Catfish are fair on cut and prepared baits.

GRAPEVINE: Water fairly clear; 49-59 degrees; 0.84' low. Black bass are fair on crankbaits, Rat-L-Traps, Texas rigs and drop shot rigs. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. White bass are fair to good on slabs and Humdingers. Catfish are fair on stink bait and chartreuse (use Worm-Glo) nightcrawlers.

JOE POOL: Water off color; 50-54 degrees; 0.63' low. Black bass are fair on Texas rigs, drop shot rigged finesse worms, crankbaits and Rat-L-Traps. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. White bass are fair to good on minnows and slabs. Catfish are fair on cheese bait and nightcrawlers.

LAKE O' THE PINES: Water lightly stained; 49-53 degrees; 0.69' high. Black bass are fair on flukes, Texas rigs, spinnerbaits and Rat-L-Traps. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. Catfish are fair on prepared bait and chartreuse (use Worm-Glo) nightcrawlers.

LAVON: Water lightly stained; 59-53 degrees; 0.19' high. Black bass are fair to good on Rat-L-Traps, Texas rigs and drop shot rigs. Crappie are fair to good on minnows and jigs. Catfish are fair on prepared bait.

LEWISVILLE: Water off color; 49-56 degrees; 0.61' high. Black bass are fair on spinnerbaits, drop shot rigs, Rat-L-Traps and shad pattern crankbaits. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. White bass are fair to good on slabs. Hybrid striper are fair on slabs and Sassy Shad. Catfish are good on prepared bait and chartreuse (use Worm-Glo) nightcrawlers.

MARTIN CREEK: 3.58' low. No report available.

MONTICELLO: Water clear; 68-82 degrees; normal pool. Black bass are fair to good on Rat-L-Traps, flukes and spinnerbaits. Crappie are fair to good on minnows and jigs. Catfish are fair on prepared bait.
 
PALESTINE: Water lightly stained; 50-55 degrees; 0.36' high. Black bass are fair on Rat-L-Traps, Texas rigs and tubes. Crappie are fair to good on minnows and jigs. Hybrid striper are fair on slabs, Sassy Shad and live shad. White bass are fair to good on slabs and minnows. Catfish are fair on prepared bait and chartreuse nightcrawlers (use Worm-Glo).

RAY HUBBARD: Water lightly stained; 51-55 degrees; 0.08' high. Black bass are fair to good on white/chartreuse spinnerbaits, Rat-L-Traps, Texas rigs and crankbaits. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. White bass are fair to good on slabs. Hybrid striper are fair to good on slabs and live shad. Catfish are fair on cut and prepared bait.

RAY ROBERTS: Water stained; 48-52 degrees; 0.07' low. Black bass are fair on red Rattle Baits and white Booyah spinnerbaits. No reports on crappie. White bass are excellent CC Jigging Spoons. Catfish are good under cormorant roosts on prepared baits.

RICHLAND CHAMBERS: Water off color; 50-56 degrees; 1.19' low. Black bass are fair on Texas rigs, Rat-L-Traps and spinnerbaits. White bass are fair on slabs and live shad. Hybrid striper are fair on slabs and live shad. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. Catfish are fair on prepared bait and nightcrawlers.

TAWAKONI: Water lightly stained; 49-56 degrees; 1.79' low. Black bass are fair on jigs, Texas rigs and firetiger crankbaits. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. White bass are fair on slabs. Striped bass and hybrid striper are fair on live shad and slabs. Catfish are fair on stink bait.

TEXOMA: Water stained to clear on the north end; 47-55 degrees; 0.57' low. Black bass are fair on Texas rigs, Rat-L-Traps, drop shot rigs and crankbaits. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. Striped bass are fair on live shad, topwaters and large Road Runners. Catfish are fair on cut and live shad.

WEATHERFORD: Water stained; 50-56 degrees; 1.87' low. Black bass are fair on Rat-L-Traps, drop shot rigs and Texas rigs. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. Catfish are fair on nightcrawlers and cut shad. White bass are fair on slabs and live minnows.

WRIGHT PATMAN: Water lightly stained; 50-56 degrees; 5.33' high. Black bass are fair to good on Rat-L-Traps, Texas rigs and crankbaits. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. Catfish are fair on shad and prepared bait.
