Odessa resident wins free listening device at Health Fair
Miracle-Ear Hearing Aid Center
Miracle-Ear Hearing Aid Center participated in the Permian Basin Health Fair on October 8. Representative Kay Scroggins has been helping people with their hearing for more than 20 years, and she performed free video otoscope inspections of the ear canal at the health fair. In addition, a drawing for a TV Ears TV listening system was held and Miracle-Ear is pleased to announce the winner: Jim Crane of Odessa.
For more than 60 years, Miracle-Ear has been bringing its customers new and groundbreaking ways to stay in touch with the world around them. Today’s digital hearing aids include:
• High-speed feedback cancellation
• Digital background noise suppression
• Ear-to-ear communication allowing two units to adjust to a situation as one
• Hands-free Blue-Tooth™ compatible technology
Blue-Tooth™ provides a way for electronic devices to communicate using short-range radio technology. A common example is a Blue-Tooth™ headset which communicates with a cell phone to allow for hands-free operation. MEBluConnect is the latest in Blue-Tooth™ technology designed especially for Miracle-Ear hearing instruments.
With the the MeBluConnect wireless remote control, the user can connect hearing aids to any audio device such as a cell phone, television, stereo, or MP3 player.
In addition, the remote can also be used for other hearing aid functions including program selection (for different listening environments) and volume control.
Another advance is the Open Fit instrument. The Open Fit design is:
• Incredibly discreet due to the clearly inconspicuous thin tubing
• Comfortable to wear because the tiny, lightweight instrument tucks neatly behind the ear
• More natural sounding because the Open Fit design doesn’t “plug up” the ear canal
• Convenient one-visit fitting (no molds to make) lets you walk out with better hearing the same day
