Harvest Fair

Odessa charities will benefit from the 36th installment of the Harvest Fair, an annual sponsored by the Epsilon Mu chapter of E.S.A.
   President Pamela Riley welcomes shoppers out for a two-day spree of selections including crafters from Florida, New Mexico, Big Spring, Jayton, Lubbock, Midland, Plainview, Rankin and Odessa.
   Exhibitors offer fragrant candles, fall arrangements for doors, wall and mantle decorations, table decor, colorful trims and greenery. Other fall combinations include straw, grapevines, pumpkins, sunflowers, grapes, ferns, zinnias, marigolds and outdoor accents.
   Riley said an exciting assortment of dolls, children’s toys, wooden shelves, tables and furniture add to the excitement. Delights to serve for friends and family include gourmet soup, casserole, dip and cheese ball mix, hot and sweet jalapeno peppers and oil dipping spices.
   Christmas seasonal attire includes decorated sweaters, casual shirts, designs on T-shirts, denim items topped off with handmade jewelry plus bling and glitzy accessories in purses, wallets, rings, bracelets, neck chains, earrings, lapel pins, caps and sweatshirts among many other items. The Odessa College Philanthropy Club will again host the annual trunk giveaway at 4 p.m. Oct. 25. The handmade wooden trunk is crafted and designed for the Harvest Fair by Clifton Davis of Custom Wood Works, then filled with items donated by exhibitors. Tickets are sold for the Sunday drawing in which the winner receives everything.
   Proceeds from the trunk drawing are dedicated to support needy projects adopted by members of the Odessa College Philanthropy Club.
   Proceeds from booth rentals and admission are donated to charities by Epsilon Mu of E.S.A. including American Cancer, American Heart, Door of Hope, Easter Seals, Hospice House, March of Dimes, St. Jude Children’s Hospital and others.
