>> FORT STOCKTON The Historic Fort Stockton and the Fort Stockton Historical Society has scheduled Old Fort Day starting with the raising of the U.S. flag by the Fort Stockton Living History Unit at 9 a.m. Oct. 18 on the grounds of the old Indian Wars around the Fort Officer Quarters No. 8, corner of Fourth Street and Rooney Streets, Fort Stockton.
An Old-Timer's morning will begin with several speakers at 9:30 a.m. through 11:30 a.m. Lunch will be served; donations will be gratefully accepted.
The Texas Historical Commission archeology steward Teddye Stickney will present a program on "Cowboy Art" recently located in the Panhandle of Texas and found interspersed with Native American petroglyphs at 1:30 p.m. Soldiers, Army laundresses and Wild West gunfighters will re-enact throughout the day through closing at 5 p.m.

>> The Ellen Noel Noël Museum has scheduled the following exhibits on display during museum gallery hours 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday through Nov. 2 at the museum, 4909 E. University Blvd.
Featured artists are: David Aylsworth, "Fugure for Tinhorns Sounds Like Frère Jacques;" Janet Chaffee, "Drawn and Cut;" and John Boydell, "Boydell's Shakespeare Prints."
