Early Elementary Schools
CARVER ELEMENTARY
>> Daily: 7:50 a.m., morning assembly in the gym.
>> Weekly theme: Fairy tales; spring plants.
>> Tuesday: Graduation picture day.
>> Wednesday: 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., Family Leadership Institute.
>> Friday: 8:30 a.m., Fairy Tale Play.

Elementary Schools
BLACKSHEAR ELEMENTARY
>> Daily: Morning announcements by Blackshear News Team, character trait for the week, "self-reliance;" bring box tops.
>> Wednesday: 8:30 a.m., sixth grade planning for junior high;
10:50 a.m., Bill Thrasher Lunch Bunch.
>> Friday: 8:45 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Ronald McDonald Care Mobile; Blackshear pride day: wear red and black.

GOLIAD ELEMENTARY
>> Monday: 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., Parents-Family Leadership Training.
>> Wednesday: Individual pictures and group pictures taken; only group pictures have to be prepaid; $11 for class picture only, $17 for class picture and spirit pennant.
>> Friday: Awards assembly; pickle sale, $1.

GONZALES ELEMENTARY
>> Daily: ECISD Benchmark Window (math first though fourth grades; reading fourth and sixth grades; science and social studies, first through sixth grades).
>> Monday: 7:45 a.m., science power lesson with Rebecca Owens.
>> Tuesday: 6 p.m., PTA meeting (TAKS information and strategies).
>> Friday: Bulldog Spirit Day;
9 a.m., sixth grade junior high planning.

HAYS MAGNET ACADEMY
>> Daily: 7:45 a.m., Pledges and Hays creed during morning announcements in the cafeteria for all students and faculty members; send box tops to school on a daily basis; music in our school month.
>> Monday: Open enrollment for magnet schools.
>> Thursday: Hall of fame luncheon.
>> Friday: March of Dimes walk; students can buy a $2 bracelet to participate in this activity.

MILAM MAGNET ELEMENTARY
>> Daily: 7:50 a.m. to 8 a.m., assembly; Susan Allison's class responsible for the pledges, weather, breakfast/lunch menu, special facts.
>> Monday: Online TELPAS testing; sixth grade, Human Growth and Development; begin fourth nine-weeks.
>> Tuesday: Online TELPAS testing; sixth grade, Human Growth and Development; math power word; science power words; faculty picture, 7:40 a.m.; class and individual pictures, 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.
>> Wednesday: Online TELPAS testing; sixth grade, Human Growth and Development.
>> Thursday: Online TELPAS testing; sixth grade, Human Growth and Development; math power questions; science power questions.
>> Friday: Sixth-grade educational planning, 1:30 p.m.; Milam Spirit Day (wear Milam Superhero T-shirt or school colors).

REAGAN MAGNET ELEMENTARY
>> Daily: 7:55 a.m., news update, teacher of the week: Barbara Nay, first-grade teacher.
>> Monday: Application process begins for new magnet students.
>> Friday: Reagan spirit day: wear royal blue and white.
Junior High Schools
THE ACADEMY AT ECTOR
>> Monday: Ninth-grade course planning for OHS in the Auditorium, all day during English classes; 8:45 a.m. Octathlon Retreat.
>> Tuesday: 6:30 p.m., spring dance performance in the auditorium, tickets available at the door: adults are $5 and children are $2.
>> Thursday: 8 a.m., Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Students meeting in room 131; Studio 2B in room 158 during fourth period and the library during fifth-period lunches; noon, Band UIL in the Band in the auditorium; 1:00 p.m., Harp and Piano UIL in the piano and harp rooms; 4 p.m., West Side Track at Ector; 7 p.m., Band Booster Club parent meeting in the band hall.
>> Friday: 6 a.m., Dance Competition Field Trip to Denton; 4 p.m., octathlon competition starts at Permian.
>> Saturday: Communities in Schools field trip to San Angelo; dance competition field trip in Denton; octathlon competition at Permian.

 BOWIE JUNIOR HIGH
>> Tuesday: 6:30 p.m., band camp informative meeting. 
>> Thursday: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., pre-UIL band contest at Ector; 3:30 p.m., Westside track meet at Ector.
>> Friday: 7:40 a.m. to 8 a.m., FCA in room 225; all day octathlon tune-up; 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., honor band UIL clinic; 5 p.m., octathlon speeches at Permian.
>> Saturday: 8 a.m., octathlon at Permian.

CROCKETT JUNIOR HIGH
>> Thursday: TBA, Crockett triangular track meet at Ector Junior High School.

FAMILY EDUCATION CENTER
>> Daily: Registration for tutorials. 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
then from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Parent or guardian signature required.
Tutoring passes will be issued at this time. No registration during tutoring hours!
>> Monday: 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., tutoring for all subjects for grades first through 12th; 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., Family Leadership Institute "Education: The key to a better future," parent workshop at Goliad Elementary; 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., Family Leadership Institute, "Education: The key to a better future," parent workshop at Lamar Early Education Center.
