BLACKSHEAR ELEMENTARY
>> Daily: Morning announcements by Blackshear's News Team, character trait for the week: "Readiness," bring box tops.
>> Wednesday: 10:45 a.m., Bill Thrasher's lunch bunch.
>> Thursday: 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Kids on the Block rehearsal.

BLANTON ELEMENTARY

>> Tuesday: 5 p.m., Eighth-grade football versus Hood at the Permian Fields; 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., AVID contract signing in the cafeteria with parents. Please enter through the south entrance and park in the south parking lot; 6 p.m., Theater Booster Club Meeting in the black box room 157. >> Thursday: 7 p.m., ninth-grade football versus Midland White at Permian Fields.

CROCKETT JUNIOR HIGH
>> Monday: 4:30 p.m., seventh- and eighth-grade volleyball vs. Ector at Crockett Junior High School; 5:15 p.m., Seventh-grade football vs. Nimitz at Coleman Field.
>> Tuesday: 5 p.m., eighth-grade football vs. Nimitz at Ratliff Stadium.
>> Thursday: 5 p.m., ninth-grade football vs. San Angelo at Old Bobcat Stadium.
>> Saturday: 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., band car wash at Dairy Queen on Grandview and Cashway Lumber on West County Road.

FAMILY EDUCATION CENTER
>> Daily: 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., registration for tutorials. Parent or guardian signature required.  Tutoring passes will be issued at this time.

Private Schools

ST. MARY'S CENTRAL CATHOLIC SCHOOL
>> Daily:  7:45 a.m., meet at St. Mary's Church for prayer and Pledge of Allegiance.
>> Monday: Free dress for children with home and school coupon meeting from Sept. 11; 6:30 p.m., ethics workshop in the school library.
>> Tuesday:  8:30 a.m., Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten Festivities performances in the gym; 2 p.m., first grade through sixth grade Festivities performance in the gym; 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., drama class in the activities room and Tae Kwon Do in the gym.
>> Thursday:  St. Mary's spirit T-shirt day; 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., drama class in the activities room; 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., Tae Kwon Do in the gym.
