Treat your taste buds to lighter summer fare
Keith's Hamburger Station
The hotter it gets, the more our taste buds crave tasty, light meals and icy drinks. Keith's Hamburger Station at 4324 Andrews Highway can
accommodate that need with delicious salads and
old-fashioned soft drinks.
Keith's is most famous for their perfectly seasoned steak fingers and chicken strips.
"Sometimes I think our name should be The Steak Finger Place," says owner Keith Johnson, adding that he eats the chicken strips everyday.
Keith's menu also offers chef, grilled chicken, crispy chicken or chicken fajita salad. Shrimp lovers will find crispy shrimp salad or a shrimp dinner on the menu. Instead of fries, you can accompany a sandwich such as ham and cheese, club, turkey or BLT with a fresh garden salad.
In business for 27 years, Keith's brings back fond memories with real cherry or vanilla cokes and cherry limeades.
Or, you might want to pick up a gallon of freshly brewed tea to take home for those hot summer nights.
Of course, hand-dipped malts and shakes, made with Blue Bell ice cream, are one of their specialties. Open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday, Keith's Hamburger Station is the perfect lunch stop for working men and women. The restaur-ant has a family atmosphere and service is quick, polite and efficient. Your food is hot an fresh, cooked to order.
And if you're really on the go, call in your order and take advantage of the drive-through window.
"We also cater for groups of 25 or larger," Keith says.
Of course, Keith's always offers its standard fare of great old-fashioned hamburgers and fries. Keith himself is the head chef and sees to it that everything is fixed the way you like it. Try the lunch special of steak fingers or chicken strips along with a 20-ounce drink. If you want to top off your meal, have a piece of carrot or chocolate cake or a hot apple pie - served with a side of ice cream if you like. Call-in orders are welcome.
