Odessans woke up to a blanket of snow this morning, but with the beauty comes the danger.

Texas Department of Transportation public information officer Glen Larum sent a release stating that drivers can expect snow to pack on most roadways as traffic volumes increase this morning.

TxDOT crews worked overnight to treat bridges and overpasses along major highway corridors.

Accidents have been reported on Interstate 20 just west of East Loop 338 in Odessa.

The Odessa Police Department has re-opened the roadways at Second Street and Grant Avenue and Second Street and West County Road.
