Parks Methodist: Dave Lieber is featured speaker at annual event

A columnist, activist and humorist, Dave will share his insights in a program titled “You Don’t Learn Texas-sized Carin’ from a Book” at Parks Methodist Retirement Village “Feast of Hearts.” The annual community dinner and fundraising event will take place at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 24, at the MCM Grandé Hotel.
A columnist for the Ft. Worth Star Telegram and activist for The Watchdog Nation, Dave has used stories to change the world for more than 30 years. His stories of wrongdoing and right-doing in our newspapers and magazines have led to countless changes in governments, schools and communities across the nation.
In addition to being a man of outstanding words, Dave Lieber is a man of outstanding actions. He is the winner of the coveted Will Rogers Humanitarian Award from the National Society of Newspaper Columnists for his good deeds in the community. Dave is the author of four books and was named Best Columnist in the American Southwest by the Press Club of Dallas. His motivational and inspirational stories will touch and delight your heart.
Proceeds from the Feast of Hearts will go for charitable care for Parks residents who have outlived their resources, says Jackie McClinton, marketing director. Last year, Parks Methodist was able to donate $507,000 to charitable care. Participants will have an opportunity to bid at a live auction and a silent auction.
