Control the strays
Comments 0 | Recommend 0Cats, Cats, Cats. From what I can find out this city is infested with stray cats.
Now don't get me wrong. I love animals and pets be they cats or dogs. I have a dog and I do have her rabies vaccinated every year.
I just wonder how many stray cats are vaccinated, or better yet controlled, instead of let roam the city as they like. Of course it costs some to have them vaccinated.
It also costs to have them declawed or neutered. It also costs to have a dog spayed.
I just can't understand how a person can have a pet and then turn it out at night to roam the neighborhood and hunt for food.
I had a water feeder out for the birds and had to take it in because of the cats. There is no fence or barrier that will deter them.
I called animal control for a trap and was told it would be about three weeks before I could get one.
Why can't this city have more traps on hand when a person needs one, or better still why can't this city get a detail out on the streets and catch some of these animals, stray cats and stray dogs.
I have a fence around my yard and these things come over my fence and sleep on my porch.
They also get under my car and dig in the soft dirt and do their dirty work.
Needless to say, I am so sick of this invasion and nothing ever gets done about it.
It wouldn't be so bad if we didn't have this ordinance about strays.
Please, won't everyone keep their pets under control.
