You may have heard employers acknowledge that "My administrative assistant runs the business." As businesses increasingly rely on computer technology, more employers are looking for technologically savvy administrative assistants with strong business acumen as well as strong communication skills.
Tomorrow is Administrative Professionals Day, and Snelling Staffing Services, along with many other companies nationwide, will celebrate the role these professionals play in seeing that a business runs smoothly.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts that the need for skilled professionals to fill administrative and secretarial positions will grow by 6.2 percent between now and 2014. By keeping up with administrative trends and recruiting skilled candidates, Snelling Staffing Services is ready to provide qualified individuals to meet the needs of this ever-growing position.
"We're here to help employers and employees thrive by placing the right candidate in the right position at the right time," says Snelling franchise owner Jane Williams. "Nowadays, an administrative assistant may be called upon to make business decisions.
For that reason, we reach out to candidates who are passionate about an industry to fill these positions."
The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that there are more than 4 million administrative assistants and secretaries working in the United States, and Snelling Staffing Services is helping people around the country prepare to take on this challenging career through careful recruitment and candidate preparation.
Jane and her husband, co-owner Lee Williams, celebrate 15 years of Snelling franchise ownership this month. "Together, we have more than 40 years of experience with Snelling," Jane says. "We're proud and excited to have fit together so many great employer-employee matches through the years."
