LETTER: Bad behavior can't be tolerated

In regard to the articles being published concerning the Marines abusive behavior toward enemy bodies. First and foremost the Articles of War have been violated, Secondly the Uniform Code of Military Justice has also been violated, at least in Article 134 if not further Articles. The behavior is not condoned in the United States Military as a whole, nor by any of the Branches of Military Service. The men have individually and collectively have brought upon themselves and their Branch of Service dishonorable behavior and disgrace. The people of these United States deserve much better behavior from the members of all branches of the military, and should be accorded the assurance that the violators of their respect will be dealt with in accordance with the Uniform Code of Military Justice by their Commanders.
