Visitors see demonstration of robot at ORMC

Some Permian Basin residents got a preview Thursday morning of the da Vinci surgical robot at Odessa Regional Medical Center.
Urologist Dr. Steven Wiehle said the robot, used at ORMC to perform prostatectomies, is the only unit between El Paso and Dallas.
A prostatectomy is a surgical choice for treatment of localized prostate cancer.
