Nurses in the Wrong?

THE STORY: A Winkler County nurse will be in court alone on Monday in Andrews County.

Dr. Rolando Arafiles accused nurses Anne Mitchell and Vicki Galle of harassment and giving out patient information after they filed an anonymous complaint to the Texas Medical board against Arafiles.

Harassment charges were dropped against Galle.

>> oldodessan: “If we don’t allow anonymous complaints, then no complaints will ever be made, because the complainers will be fired.

“The complaint itself has to be completely investigated, which is where the good? doctor gets his chance to see evidence and so on. Obviously, he and the DA are terrific friends; the DA there also seemed to be good friends with the child molesters at TYC, since he was never able to summon the time to prosecute anyone over there. Small town crap that ruins people’s lives.”

>> williard: “! Anonymous complaints are sometimes necessary. But citizens have the right to confront their accuser and see the case against them. Right of cross-examination is essential. So there is another rub. !”
