Pro Hockey: Jacks beat Amarillo

The Odessa Jackalopes took an early lead against the Amarillo Gorillas and never let it go, winning 2-1 Sunday at the Amarillo Civic Center.

Collin Circelli scored the opening goal at the 8:58 mark of the first period. Sebastien Thinel and Jeff Pierce assisted.

Circelli scored the Jacks’ other goal at the 7:22 mark of the third period and Will Bodine got the assist.

David Nimmo scored on the power play for Amarillo.

The Jackalopes (61-45-11-5) are scheduled to play at 7:05 p.m. Wednesday against Laredo in Laredo.
