UPDATE: Rain, high wind pound Basin

Heavy rains received in the Permian Basin early Tuesday morning helped the area see its wettest June on record, while also knocking out power to more than 10,000 residents in the area.

St. John’s Episcopal plans to add middle school

Hit-and-run suspect arrested

A 29-year-old Odessa man remained in the Ector County Detention Center on Monday on several misdemeanor charges in connection with a hit-and-run accident that occurred at 9:04 p.m. Saturday at Tanglewood Lane and Oakwood Drive.

Update: Same-sex couples can receive a marriage license starting Tuesday after Ector County Clerk Linda Haney reported the new application is now available on the county's computer system.

Single-vehicle accident claims 4 lives

Four El Paso residents died and two others were injured in a single-vehicle accident that occurred about 10:45 a.m. Sunday 31 miles east of Fort Stockton on Interstate 10, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
